Misaki Nakayama
My name is Misaki Nakayama. I’m from Osaka, Japan. I like singing and listening to music, mainly J-Pop and English-language music. In particular, I love various types of Western music. While studying abroad, I often listen to this kind of music. It matches the landscape of New Zealand perfectly.
I also enjoy eating. My hometown is famous for konamon, a local food in Osaka made from wheat flour. Therefore, I love takoyaki, okonomiyaki and yakisoba. In fact, one of the main reasons I travel is to enjoy local food. For example, I took a trip to Kyoto with my family to eat crab on New Year’s Day, and we were very satisfied with the food. We had a wonderful time together.
I also like watching movies. One of the most impressive classes I took last semester in Japan was Virtual Culture Studies. In this class, I learned about American history and the social background of the Vietnam War using films produced at that time. It gave me the opportunity to know about the culture.
I want to become a businessperson who connects Japan with other countries. To achieve this goal, I want to improve my English, which is a global language. I want to work somewhere I can feel like a member of the global community.
I love "konamon" too! Because my parents are from Kansai region, we often have them for lunch or dinner. Let me know your favorite restaurant of "konamon" in Osaka!

DeleteWow! I think you mentioned on your blog that you're from Osaka, I see. My favorite restaurant is Souki, in Asahi Ward, Osaka City. I definitely reccommend you go there!!
DeleteHi Misaki! Could u please tell us sth. about the Vietnam War like its background? Because I don't know much about it :) Many thanks!
ReplyDeleteSure! I knew that many warriors suffered from idoleness and lostness. However, the government tried to hide the fact and it also bound the freedom of expression. On contrast, film maker fought them and produced various films included in violence and gender.
DeleteIt's wonderful to know English songs! I want to be able to sing them too.

I’d love to get some advice from a real food lover like you!

DeleteHi Misaki! i think we can talk about our favorite songs a lot! Do you go to concerts as well?
ReplyDeleteYes!! We have music in common!! That's amazing. I want to go there but the live concerts often are held in other countries, so it's difficult to go there. I wanna go...
DeleteHi Misaki! I like takoyaki and okonomiyaki, too! When I trip to Osaka, I definitely eat those meals.
ReplyDeleteWow! I'm glad to hear that! I love them as I mentioned it. If you haven't eaten it, I recommend you to eat okonomiyaki with shouyu and negi. It's also as good as that with sauce.
