Maria Okada

Hello. My name is Maria Okada. I am 19 years old and a  freshman at Sophia University in the Faculty of Global Studies. I am from Kanagawa which is next to Tokyo. There is the sea near my house, and we can see Mt. Fuji on clear days.

Thank you very much for welcoming me into New Zealand. This is my first time coming to New Zealand. I am really happy to study with you.  I am very excited to experience the culture, improve my English, and spend time as a member of a new family in New Zealand.

I enjoy making sweets, dancing, and I am looking forward to meeting you and learning many new things in my free time. I have a 16-year-old sister and a dog. I also love to sing in chorus. I started it 14 years ago.  And until I was a high school student, I was on the chorus club. I want to work on a variety of issues with my collaboratively and take many photo in New Zealand for memorizeThank you!

The poin to love and care for the dog is to give them a sense of security and love through discipline and exercise such as walks.

  6. Hi Maria, my daughter, Sarah, was also in choirs during her primary and high school years. She enjoyed participating in them and I enjoyed listening to her. Singing can really touch the soul in a deep way! David :-)
