Shuta Itami
Hi, I’m Shuta Itami, a third-year student at the University of Tokyo. I study biochemistry in the Faculty of Engineering and hope to become a researcher in the future. Next year, I will join a lab that studies RNA modification, and I am really excited to start my research.
I want to improve my English to talk with lab members, give presentations, and write papers. I also hope to speak English confidently in daily life. I want to continue to a PhD program and then do research at a graduate school overseas.
While I’m in New Zealand, I would love to make friends with both local people and other Japanese students. Before returning home, I hope to see penguins and a rugby match. If anyone is interested, I would be happy to go together.
I’m looking forward to learning with you!
I'm interested in biochemistry too, because I'm studying pharmacy. Please tell me about your research someday!!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I'm happy to hear you major in pharmacy.
DeleteYear, let's talk about our research someday!
I’m looking forward to the rugby game!!
ReplyDeleteI have Ticapo Trip in March 7-8, so the only weekend I have free is 14th-15th.
DeleteDo you know the rules well? I’m interested in watching a game too, but I don’t know much about the rules.
ReplyDeleteI have only played rugby in high school classes, I don't really know much beyond that.
DeleteThe very best with your plans, Shuta. Hopefully you'll be able to discover something through your research that can be of benefit to humankind. David :-)
ReplyDeletethat's my goal, I hope I can do good researches.
DeleteWhat made you interested in RNA modification?
ReplyDeleteI'm interested in the central dogma and DNA, this is the reason I chose that lab.
